Job Vacancy: Accountant – Invoicing Department

Key Responsibilities

As an Accountant – Invoicing Department you will:

  • Primary Responsibility: Issue invoices to customers for the international sales of marine bunkers and lubricants. Ensure all invoices are issued timely, accurately, and efficiently in accordance with relevant controls and approvals.
  • Work closely with the Senior International Sales Accountant to ensure work is adequately monitored, checked, and all deadlines are met.
  • Process and issue sales invoices while managing relevant accounting entries.
  • Prepare Invoices/Bunker Delivery Reports (BDR) for financing purposes (‘Release’) from the Bank.
  • Handle invoice distribution to customers and process supplier invoices.
  • Monitor un-invoiced deliveries daily and follow up on delivery documents from suppliers.
  • Request Supplier Confirmation Letters and update KPIs.
  • Address invoice-related disputes and perform monthly reconciliations of sales data.
  • Review invoices and entries prepared by other team members.
  • Provide support to the Accounts Department as needed.
  • Implement and suggest improvements for the Group’s Management System.

 

Qualifications / Competencies

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Education: LCCI Intermediate and/or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Relevant experience is a strong advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Strong bookkeeping knowledge and experience with computerized accounting systems.
    • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
    • Excellent communication skills for liaising with international customers and suppliers.
    • Ability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
  • Language: Proficiency in Greek and English is essential.
